On the Hunt

"Maybe Wormmon." Paul says.

Godam: "Right"

Paul waves Godam off.

"If I decide to undergo it, I'll place a vial of your own in your room." Paul says. "I don't reccommend taking it immediately after me. We can't have our two top fighters out."

Godam nods.

Godam: "Right" "But I doubt that I'm a top fighter"

Paul laughs.

"Kari and Gatomon don't really battle." Paul says. "By choice, they're Cheerleaders."

-he laughs-
Godam: "Always wanted cheerleaders"

Godam heads out as Kari comes by and goes in. Godam goes to check on Greymon's work.

1 week later

Godam heads into his room and finds a vial, there's also a letter.

I decided to undergo it, I'll come to you when I'm finished working through it.

Paul.

With Paul

Paul grips the carpet as he kneels down breathing heavily. It wasn't pain he was feeling, he was just feeling extermely out of breath.

Paul: "W-wow"

Paul starts to shrink. It was beginning. Paul becomes less than a human child's size. Paul goes onto his side. He regresses to a very small baby. Paul then gets covered in a Digi Egg, the last thing you hear from Paul before the egg seals is a cry of pain.

Inside the egg

Paul's body was disappearing into his head along with his hair, which was flashing between normal and green. A pacifier appears in Paul's mouth. A Leaf forms out of the back of his head. The Egg cracks slowly and the newly born Leafmon gets onto the carpet.

2 hours later

Paul spits his Pacifier out and starts to change. The Leaf disappears as a stick forms out of his head, he gains a strange appendage below his head. Paul had digivolved into Minomon. In his heart though, Paul knew that he wasn't done yet.

1 hour later

Paul's entire body changes now, he becomes Wormmon. Veemon had been watching all this and gets to know the new Paul.

With Godam

Godam smiles as he sees Kari come in.

"Are you okay?" Kari asks.

"Yeah." Godam says. "A little worried about Paul."

"He's got Veemon with him." Kari says. "So I'm not worried."

Godam nods.

With Paul

Paul grunts as he changes into a human sized Wormmon. Paul's Wormmon features start to revert to Human soon.

Paul: "Finally"

"That sounded painful." Veemon says.

Paul: "Sure was"

"You still need to reach Stingmon." Veemon says. "But it doesn't have to be today."

Paul: "I know"

Paul gets dressed.

Paul: "I guess the worst part is over"

"You've still got to go to Wormmon to try for Stingmon." Paul says.

Paul: "But I doubt it will be as bad as this part"

"Wormmon is a tough transformation." Veemon says. "The Size change comes last, but there's stil the anatomical changes."

Paul: "Oh man"

Paul thinks about that Sora girl. Wondering how she survived the transformation, Lady Devimon has a worse Anatomy than Wormmon.

Paul: "I just wanna get this over with"

With Kari

Kari looks at the ceiling. Paul knocks on the door.

"Come in." Kari says.

Paul steps inside.

"Hey." Paul says.

"Hey." Kari says. "Did you do it?"

"I stopped at Wormmon." Paul says.

"Ahh." Kari says.

Paul: "Yeah"

Kari stands and smiles at Paul.

"I..." Kari says.

Paul: "Huh?" "What is it?"

"Life doesn't always go the way you want it to." Kari says.

Paul: "I've noticed that"

Paul smiles slightly at her as he starts to leave. Kari kisses Paul.
